Everyone seems to be working harder and harder these days. Everyone seems to be struggling to balance work and home. Things are becoming overwhelming.
I see my neighbors pull into their driveways in the evening, exhausted. Sometimes they sit in their cars for a few seconds after they turn off the motor. I imaging they're taking some deep breaths and trying to wind down after a crazy day. They probably have a lot more to do before they can go to bed: pay bills, make dinner, do laundry.
Thinking about this, it gives me satisfaction to know that on the days that me and my team have cut the lawn, gardened, and cleaned-up, those neighbors experience a little bit of joy in seeing their freshly cut lawn, clean flowerbeds, and shapely bushes. I like to believe they whisper to themselves, "Ah, this is why I work so hard. . ."
